“YAMASHO JR Ashiya Station”, opening tomorrow, Saturday, March 26, at the south exit of JR Ashiya Station, will apparently have groceries and alcohol, plus a bakery and delicatessen too!
(This information was provided by Mitsu. Thank you!)
Quoted from the press release
↑ It looks like the exterior will look like this!
↑ The location is around here. It looks like it’s right after you go up the stairs.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 1-30 Funadocho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
The bakery and delicatessen feature carefully crafted flavors from renowned chefs
↑ The bakery bread will apparently be delivered directly from “North Montagne-YAMASHO,” produced by the founder of “Esquerre,” a bakery in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, that closed in February 2022!
And the delicatessen is reportedly handled by a former Hilton Hotel chef…! Sounds like you’ll be able to enjoy some truly carefully crafted flavors!
The opening commemorative gift is “nure ohagi”!?
To celebrate the opening, the nure ohagi “YAMASHO Itotome Botamochi” will be given as a gift for the first three days from opening to the first 50 customers each day who spend 1,000 yen or more, including tax!
“Nure” ohagi…? How is it different from regular ohagi…!? Apparently it has even been featured on a popular TV program. We’re curious!
Lastly
So what is “YAMASHO” in the first place? Apparently, it’s a new business format by “Yamasho,” which operates liquor specialty stores and organic food supermarkets mainly in the Tango region of Kyoto Prefecture. They’re expanding from Kyoto to Ashiya!
With spring here, more and more new shops are opening in Ashiya, and it’s hard not to feel excited!
※Mitsu, thank you for the information!!
