We visited the “Customer Appreciation Day” held yesterday, October 3, at Rokko Miso (Rokko Miso Factory) in Kusunoki-cho along National Route 2!
Rokko Miso Customer Appreciation Day 2026

This annual event is held on the grounds of Rokko Miso Factory, located along National Route 2, an eight-minute walk north of Hanshin Uchide Station. This year marked its ninth edition.

↑ After filling out a survey at reception, we received a freeze-dried miso soup along with an event flyer!

↑ On the right after entering the venue, there was the reception desk, as well as amazake samples, tofu, atsuage fried tofu, and konjac for sale, and a raffle drawing you could enter once for ¥1,000.

↑ Straight ahead was the popular Kuradashi Manma Miso booth. We arrived a little after 2:00 p.m., so the limited-edition items, including Japanese sweets made with miso, had already sold out.

↑ On the left after entering the venue was a booth selling Rokko Miso products. A wide variety of miso and miso-based products were available at amazing prices!

↑ We bought “Sansho Miso” and “Dengaku Miso Akadashi.” The two came to exactly ¥1,000. We tried the Sansho Miso with hot pot for dinner that very evening. The rich miso had a sharp kick of sansho pepper, making it perfect for adding a whole new flavor to the meal!
The “Kobe Pork Buta Miso” from the same series as the Sansho Miso had apparently been featured on TV recently and was sold out. Too bad!
Rokko Miso Factory’s direct-sales shop is also open outside of special events, so if you’re curious about the sold-out Buta Miso or any of its other products, why not stop by?
