Café “Lemonju”, located near Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station, will apparently be temporarily closed from Tuesday, September 1.

In August, the café is holding a “Pre-Closure Appreciation Sale.” Hot coffee, iced coffee, hot tea, iced tea, cream soda, and shaved ice (lemon, mizore syrup, or strawberry) are all ¥500 (tax included). *Milk topping is an additional ¥50.
Lunch will not be served during August, with only drinks and shaved ice available. For detailed opening dates and other updates, check the official Instagram account.

Starting in October, the space is reportedly scheduled to reopen as “Konoha no Ouchi,” a handmade-goods shop. Students attending Yamate Junior High School who are interested in making things might want to try joining the local “Konoha no Ouchi Tezukurikai” craft club.

Final Thoughts
This café has been loved by the local community for more than 40 years. Its menu even featured “Tare-don,” a rice bowl dish inherited from Sanei Shokudo, which once stood across the street.
It will be closed for a while, but we hope to see it make a comeback someday.
