The popular “Tare-don (Tare-yaki Rice Bowl)” from 三栄食堂, formerly located near Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station, is making a comeback at 喫茶 檸檬樹（れもんじゅ） across the street starting Friday, February 7!

This is an official revival made possible by 三栄 sharing its secret recipe. The dish will initially appear once or twice a month as one of the rotating daily lunch specials.
↑ The former site of 三栄食堂. After being loved here for more than 70 years, the restaurant sadly closed in October 2023.
In addition to “Tare-don (Tare-yaki Rice Bowl),” it apparently had other popular dishes such as the “Tare-yaki Set Meal” and “Thai-style Fried Rice.” Norika Fujiwara even featured the restaurant on TV!

三栄食堂 was reportedly a long-time favorite among students and alumni of Konan Junior and Senior High School. The “Tare-yaki Set Meal” has also been served in the school cafeteria since February last year.
But it isn’t easy for members of the public to enter a school cafeteria, so some of you may have heard about its return, wanted to try it, and thought in frustration, “There’s no way I can get in!”
↑ Thankfully, anyone can visit 喫茶 檸檬樹, even if they aren’t a student or affiliated with the school! It could get very busy on the first day of the revival!
↑ 三栄食堂 and 喫茶 檸檬樹 are directly across the alley from each other. 檸檬樹 also has a history spanning more than 40 years, so anyone who used to frequent 三栄食堂 probably knows it well.
