Earlier, we reported that the Jizo statue was scheduled to be “retired” by the end of July. But now it seems that the Jizo statue at the back of the rotary, located between “アルパ芦屋” and “ラリーブ芦屋” along Ekimae-dori near JR Ashiya Station, will be returned to its original spot after the construction work is completed〜!
↑The notice posted on the fence next to the Jizo statue had been updated!
From now on, it will be managed by the “Ashiyagawa College Alumni Association”. During the construction work, it will be moved to another location, but once the work is finished, it will be returned to its original place.
↑The Jizo statue stands quietly in a corner of the rotary, but it’s clearly very loved by people in the local community〜! We’re glad it will be safely preserved!
↑The nearby pedestrian bridge over the railway tracks, “第一跨線橋,” is scheduled to be closed for removal around August. The plan to “retire” the Jizo statue had been made in connection with this removal work.
↑There was no notice yet about where it will be temporarily relocated, but we’re sure it will continue to be treated with care during the construction work〜.
