Around Kurekawa-cho along the Miyagawa River, between about 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. on December 24, Christmas Eve, several readers sent us info and photos saying that there was a massive outbreak of fish!

↑These photos were submitted by Kokuren-san! The light is reflecting off the surface of the water, but if you look closely, it seems to be rippling with tons of fish〜!!

The address seems to be around 4 Kurekawa-cho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

Around February last year, when a large number of “bora” (mullet) appeared near the mouth of the Miyagawa River, it was even covered by the Kobe Shimbun and became a hot topic!
Could the fish this time also be mullet? Since this was near Kurekawa-cho, it is quite a distance from the river mouth, but maybe they worked hard to swim upstream.
