We heard from the Kobe Shimbun that huge numbers of the saltwater fish “mullet” have apparently appeared near the mouth of the Miyagawa River! So we went to check it out for ourselves!
According to the article above, a huge school of mullet was swimming back and forth, with more than 100 on the riverbed…!? It sounded like quite a scene!
Let’s see… hmm??
On the riverbed… wait, where are they?
We wandered around the area and peered into the river, but they were nowhere to be found!
Unfortunately, we couldn’t spot any mullet that day… It was just the usual quiet Miyagawa River.

↑ Under the bridge too… still nothing. Too bad!
↑ With no other choice, we headed a little upstream… Wait, what’s that!?
↑A suspicious group of herons!! They must have eaten all the mullet. Bet they were tasty.
So, that was our report from the Miyagawa River: no mullet, but we did find a suspicious-looking group of possible culprits.
