I tried the homemade juice and taco rice at Bell’s Market, a cafe and grocery store that opened on July 1 along the Yamate Kansen road in Laporte East Wing, right in front of JR Ashiya Station!
Bell’s Market’s “Taco Rice” and “Homemade Mulberry Juice”

“Taco Rice” 800 yen (tax included)
They served it in a takeout container for me.

From the side, you can see it’s packed with meat and vegetables! The clear container makes it look really nice too.

Mix together the ground meat, cheese, paprika, tomatoes, and other vegetables, then dig in!
The crispy taco chips add a great texture too!

“Homemade Mulberry Juice” 500 yen (tax included)
This homemade juice is carefully made with mulberries from Ako.

The refreshing berry flavor is perfect for summer! It isn’t as tart as you might expect, so it’s easy to drink.
It’s a seasonal drink available only right now, so try it before it sells out!
Bell’s Market’s Menu

In addition to the Mexican “Taco Rice,” the menu features dishes from around the world, including Hawaiian “Orange Chicken” and “Gravy Beef,” plus Italian “Cod Marinated in Basil Sauce.”
They said they’d like to respond to customer requests going forward too!

Besides mulberry, they also had homemade juices such as shiso and butterfly pea tea.
The ice cream menu includes chocolate mint flavor and the Italian dessert “cassata” too!

Inside the shop, in addition to eat-in dining, they also sell imported foods and goods that are hard to find elsewhere, such as Francis Ford Coppola wine made by the film director and Gragnanesi pasta.
This is a special offer exclusively for Ashiya Tsushin readers!
Say “I saw it on Ashitsu” or “I saw it on Ashiya Tsushin”
When you visit Bell’s Market, tell them “I saw it on Ashiya Tsushin”
and you’ll get 100 yen off the food menu.
Offer valid until the end of September 2021
