It looks like the convenience store “7-Eleven JR Ashiya Ekimae” in front of the south exit of JR Ashiya Station will be temporarily closed from Thursday, January 15 to Wednesday, February 4 due to store relocation.

↑A notice was posted at the storefront saying “Temporary Closure Notice Due to Store Relocation.”
↑There was also a handwritten notice on the glass next to the entrance. It seems the store will close at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15 and reopen at its new location from 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 5.

↑You can see the south exit of JR Ashiya Station in the back left of the photo. For the current store, you cross the road south right after leaving the station, but for the new store, you just head east without crossing the road. (The distance from the station probably won’t be that different.)

In Closing
During the temporary closure, it looks like the best option will be to use “7-Eleven Heart-in JR Ashiya Station Ticket Gate” inside JR Ashiya Station.
When the store opened at its current location, there was an opening sale, so maybe there’ll be a sale right after this relocation too? Let’s look forward to the opening.
