The Japanese restaurant “和食料理 かいと 芦屋”, located on the 4th floor of the West Building of Mont et Mer, the shopping mall directly connected to JR Ashiya Station, is reportedly closing on Sunday, January 11 next year.

↑A “Notice of Closure” has been posted at the storefront.

↑This restaurant serves Japanese cuisine that makes the most of seasonal ingredients, including sushi, tempura, and sashimi.

↑They also offer lunch-only sets such as the “Nyumen Gozen” and “Fried Oyster Gozen.”

Finally
It seems that “和食料理かいと” also has a location in Himeji, so if you find yourself thinking, “I want to have that taste again!” after the Ashiya location closes in January next year, heading to Himeji might be a good option.
Both Mont et Mer, the shopping mall in the same building, and the Daimaru Ashiya department store seem to be seeing quite a lot of tenant changes from this year into next year. The atmosphere there may change quite a bit too.
