We had a great-value weekday-only raw shirasu rice bowl lunch at the sushi and Japanese restaurant “Washoku Kaito” inside “Mont et Mer,” the shopping mall directly connected to JR Ashiya Station!

It comes as a set with a raw shirasu rice bowl, chawanmushi, mini nyumen noodles, and two kinds of pickles.
↑ A bowl topped with raw shirasu from Awaji Island, egg yolk, green onion, ginger, myoga, and other condiments over Kaito’s special red-vinegar sushi rice!
↑ First, pour on some soy sauce, then break the egg yolk in the middle…
↑ So rich and runny♪
↑ The fresh raw shirasu, egg yolk, soy sauce, condiments, and red-vinegar sushi rice are a perfect match!
↑ The soup dish is actually nyumen, warm somen noodles!
↑ Slurp them up together with the dashi broth.
↑ And it even comes with chawanmushi! You really get to enjoy plenty of the dashi that Japanese restaurants do so well♪
↑ It’s silky and easy to eat, but it won’t chill your stomach, which is nice!
↑ For the two kinds of pickles, you can choose your favorites from five varieties! I went with summery cucumber and daikon pickles♪
Even at such a great price, this lunch was totally satisfying in both variety and volume!
