It looks like a new retail store is planned near “Co-op Uchidehama” in the Uchide area, Daitocho.
(Information provided by Nicopapa)

↑A construction plan sign had been posted at the planned site. It says it will be a “store engaged in retail sales,” and it looks like it will be a one-story steel-frame building.
The developer is “Kanden Realty & Development Co., Ltd.”(You may know them from their TV commercials). The planned construction period is from January 5 to May 15 next year.

↑Here’s what the planned construction site looks like. It’s on a corner lot about a 2-minute walk northeast of “Co-op Uchidehama,” which is scheduled to close next March. It seems this used to be the site of the “Kansai Electric Power Uchide Company Housing.”
Here’s the map↓
The address is 8-1 Daitocho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Area around the Planned Retail Store Site

↑If you go this way, to the east, you’ll find the Horikiri River and “Horikiri Sakura Park” in Nishinomiya City.

↑If you go the opposite way, to the west, you’ll find “Fitness-style Day Service Noblesse,” the Ejiri River Greenway and Ejiri River Wakakusa-dori, “Ashiya Municipal Seido Junior High School,” and more.

↑If you go this way, to the south, and turn right at the next corner, you’ll find “Co-op Uchidehama” and “Frontage Ashiya (Ashiyahama Center).”

↑If you go the opposite way, to the north, you’ll reach National Route 43.
Finally
Since the nearby Co-op is closing next March, it would be nice if something like a supermarket that could take its place opened here. As soon as we find out more about what kind of retail store it will be, we’ll let you know on Ashitsuu!
Nicopapa, thank you for the tip!
