Starting April 25, PEACE CURRY relocated and reopened in Laporte East Building in front of JR Ashiya Station, so we went to try their Sri Lankan curry!
PEACE CURRY’s “Special Lanka Plate”
“Special Lanka Plate” from 1,200 yen (tax included)
This plate comes with a main curry, bean curry, side dishes, pani puri, and basmati rice. The price changes depending on the curry you choose. This time, we picked the “cashew nut” curry, so it was +100 yen (tax included).
↑ A curry with cashew nuts as the main ingredient sounded pretty rare, so we gave it a try. Just as the name suggests, it’s packed with lots of cashews! They’re a bit bean-like, but the nutty texture is different and really fun to eat.
↑ The bean curry is full of lentils! It’s a gentle curry with sweetness coming through amid the spices.
↑ The round ball-like item on top is “pani puri.” Just like before the move, it’s fried nice and crispy.
↑ Getting this many different side dishes is such a treat!
↑ It’s nice to mix things little by little as you eat, but at the end we recommend mixing everything together boldly! It’s a great-value plate where you can enjoy all kinds of flavors and textures at once.
