A European-style curry and Sri Lankan curry restaurant, “PEACE CURRY”, has relocated and opened on April 25 on the 1st floor of the East Building of “Laporte,” a shopping mall directly connected to JR Ashiya Station, along the Yamate Kansen road!
(Thanks to Ha-chan for the tip!!)

↑The exterior of “PEACE CURRY”

↑There was also a notice posted about the relocation opening. The restaurant now has counter seating only, and it seems the menu has been reduced and prices revised.

↑There’s a vending machine next to the entrance! It isn’t stocked yet, but it looks like curry may eventually be available for takeout from the machine.

↑It’s a street-level shop on the north side of Laporte East Building, facing Yamate Kansen. It’s between “Ebisuyaya Cosmetics” and “Eco Ring.”

↑If you head this way west, you’ll find places like “Bar Raffinato” and “Ashiya Ekimae Post Office.”

↑If you head the opposite way east, there are places like “Tekoya JR Ashiya Ekimae,” the tofu shop “Yamaichi,” “CA ORGANIC ASHIYA”, and “Au Bon Sandwich Bigot”.

↑Across the street is Laporte North Building, around the butcher shop “Ashiya Toriyoshi” and the tea leaf shop “Morien.”
“PEACE CURRY” Menu

↑You can enjoy both “European-style curry” and “Sri Lankan curry,” and add toppings to each.

↑This is what the “Today’s (Sri Lankan) Curry” looked like on opening day.

↑Here’s the drink menu. They have chai, lassi, and alcoholic drinks too.

Finally

↑The place where the restaurant used to be before relocating has now been completely cleared.
I stopped by on the first day of the relocation opening, and what stood out was how many of the customers were women. It’s counter seating only, but it was busy enough that people were waiting to get in! Stay tuned for our food report on “Ashitsu Gourmet.”
Ha-chan, thank you for the tip!!
