This year again, the trees near the entrance to Ashiya City General Park are wearing yarn sweaters!
↑Once again, lots of trees are decorated with colorful yarn creations this year!
↑They look so cute wrapped in all sorts of colors and shapes!
↑This is “yarn bombing” by the Ashiya Yarn Bombing Club, held here every winter. Yarn bombing is a form of street art using knitted or crocheted yarn that originated in the United States.

↑Apparently, Mayor Takashima also came by on the day the decorations were installed. They are scheduled to be removed on Sunday, January 14 next year.

↑There was even a tree decked out in Christmas-style red and green! Why not enjoy the “yarn bombing” brightening up the winter park while you’re out for a stroll?
