Near the entrance to Ashiya City General Park, the trees were wearing sweaters. It’s been so cold lately, even the trees need to bundle up!

↑And it’s not just one—lots of trees are wearing them. So colorful!

↑Up close, you can see that knitted motifs have been joined together and wrapped around the tree.

↑This tree seems to be decked out entirely in shades of pink. So stylish!

↑There’s also a tree with pom-poms hanging from its branches.

↑There’s even a whimsical tree decorated with bear and rabbit motifs.

These pieces were created by the “Ashiya Yarn Bombing Club.” Apparently, “yarn bombing” is a form of street art using knitting that originated in the United States.
