We picked up some fried treats and pudding from Ashiya Takazono JR Ashiya Store, a prepared-food specialty shop that opened on March 10 on the third floor of the West Building at Mont et Mer, the shopping mall directly connected to JR Ashiya Station!
Three Fried Items and Pudding from Ashiya Takazono JR Ashiya Store

Ham Cutlet: ¥324 (tax included), Spring Roll: ¥378 (tax included), Croquette: ¥162 (tax included)

↑ The Ham Cutlet is one of the store’s daily original side dishes, available exclusively at the JR Ashiya location and not sold at the main store!

↑ A thick slice of ham fried to crispy perfection—it’s exactly the kind of ham cutlet you’d expect from a butcher shop! It’s a versatile favorite that works equally well as a side dish or a snack with drinks!

↑ Amazingly, Spring Rolls also appear among the daily side dishes exclusive to the JR Ashiya location! Just look at that crisp, golden-brown wrapper—it looks delicious already!

↑ Inside, it’s packed with glass noodles, bamboo shoots, and plenty of meat! It’s incredibly satisfying, and that hearty, meaty flavor is irresistible!

↑ Of course, they also sell items available at the main store, such as the Croquette. We love how close the shop is to the station ticket gates!

↑ It has the same nostalgic taste as the croquettes from the main store! We could eat these forever!

MC Pudding: ¥364 (tax included)
In addition to prepared foods, the store also sells desserts served at Magnet Cafe on the first floor of Hotel Takazono! Apparently, “MC” stands for Magnet Cafe.

↑ Neither too soft nor too firm, this is classic pudding done right! We also love that it comes with plenty of caramel sauce!
