A baked sweets shop with an attached cafe, “Ashiya Tigre,” opened on December 3 along the Okuyama Seido Line in Kōkomachi, near Ashiya Kōkomachi Post Office!

↑ The exterior of “Ashiya Tigre.” Their signature item is “tigre,” a baked sweet made with financier batter and filled in the center with soft chocolate and other flavors.

↑ It’s the tenant space on the northernmost side of the building. Facing the shop, the izakaya “Ashiya Kotaro” is on the right, and on the left there are stairs leading down toward Kōkomachi Park.
↑ If you go this way (north), you’ll find “Ashiya Kōkomachi Post Office,” “cafe & brasserie il est la,” “Ashiya City Chamber of Commerce and Industry,” and more, before reaching National Route 2.
↑ If you go the opposite way (south), you’ll find the Municipal Holiday Emergency Clinic, Catholic Ashiya Church, Ashiya Tax Office, Ashiya Police Station, and more, before reaching the Naruo-Mikage Line.
↑ Across the street, you’ll find places such as the South Building of the Ashiya City Kōkomachi Branch Office.

↑ In addition to the classic chocolate version, their signature “tigre” comes in a wide range of flavors, including milk tea, marron, lemon, and matcha.
↑ They also have lots of different financiers! There were even “Gorgonzola Financiers” and “Truffle Financiers.”
↑ There’s also a cafe space inside, where you can enjoy drinks or vanilla ice cream together with warm tigres and financiers!
