We bought some bread from first-time vendors and popular shops at the “Early Summer Bread Festival,” being held on the 3rd floor of Mont et Mer in front of JR Ashiya Station until Tuesday, May 17!
Bread sold at the “Early Summer Bread Festival”

↑Here’s the kind of bread we picked up this time!

First-time vendor “天然酵母パン 聖庵”
Left: “Bacon with Shiso” 237 yen (tax included)
Right: “Craft Corn Half” 313 yen (tax included)

↑The “Bacon with Shiso” has shiso and bacon tucked inside a long, fluffy loaf.

↑The Japanese-style shiso aroma goes perfectly with the bacon!

↑The “Craft Corn” is rye bread packed with nuts and dried fruit!

↑It’s dense and hearty, filled with all kinds of ingredients, and has a really fun texture.

First-time vendor “BAGEL&BAGEL”
Left: “Earl Grey Milk Tea” 225 yen (tax included)
Right: “Honey Apple” 225 yen (tax included)

↑The sales area was lined with lots of different kinds of bagels! The “Honey Apple” seemed to be a seasonal item.

↑Toasting was recommended, so we gave it a try! (It got a little burnt.)
Crispy and chewy! The Earl Grey had the sweet aroma of Taiwan’s premium “Mitsuka Black Tea” and distinctive white chocolate chips, while the Honey Apple had larger diced apple pieces and a satisfying apple flavor!

“ダイヤ製パン”
“Mixed Fruit Sandwich” 496 yen (tax included)

↑A fruit sandwich with strawberries, kiwi, and yellow peaches, with a look that feels somehow nostalgic!

↑The cream is light, and together with the tartness of the fruit, it makes for an easy snack. It looks great in photos too!
