“Andonut Specialty Shop AN●D Andy” in Omasucho along Ashiya Hondori is apparently opening today, Wednesday, March 9, from 11:00〜
“Uncle Andy” invited us over, so we got to take a look inside the shop before it opened!
(Thank you for the invitation, Uncle Andy!)

↑It’s a cute little shop with a stylish noren curtain!
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 3-17 Omasucho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Andy’s andonuts

At opening, there are five flavors: “koshi-an,” “tsubu-an,” “milk-an,” “matcha-an,” and “sakura-an”!
“Sakura-an” is a seasonal flavor, and they plan to offer various seasonal andonuts going forward〜

For the first two opening days, March 9 and 10, there will be special opening prices: a 5-piece box with all flavors (normally 960 yen) for 900 yen including tax, and a 10-piece box (normally 1,920 yen) for 1,800 yen including tax!
*Sales by individual piece will begin on Friday, March 11

The shop is produced by Takayuki Shinzawa, the second-generation owner of the popular Higashiosaka wagashi shop “Kashoan Shiroho”. He’s a highly skilled wagashi artisan with plenty of contest awards to his name!

You can enjoy carefully crafted andonuts that feel just like something from a wagashi shop, made with domestic ingredients such as brown sugar from Hateruma, Okinawa in the donut dough, and azuki beans from Tokachi, Hokkaido, plus beet sugar from Hokkaido in the sweet bean paste.

Of course, they’re freshly made and fried in-store! They’re also considering selling piping-hot, freshly fried andonuts in the future.
They’re also developing limited-time items for summer, like an andonut parfait paired with ice cream… I’m really looking forward to it〜!
