When I passed by the handicraft shop “CHECK&STRIPE fabric&things” near Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station, I spotted a banner for “ice candy” for some reason, so I bought one and tried it!
The “mikaned Ice Bar” from “CHECK&STRIPE fabric&things”

“mikaned Ice Bar: Horie Ichigo Farm Strawberry & Mint Lemon Curd Bar” 350 yen (tax included)
The “mikaned Ice Bar” is apparently made at the frozen dessert studio “Hananoki Reikado” in Kagoshima Prefecture, with recipes and brand supervision by confectionery researcher Rika Fukuda. It seems these are not easy to find in Kansai…!

It’s an ice bar with frozen strawberries and mint leaves inside lemon-flavored milk ice cream!

Looking at the back, it’s classified as “ice cream”, with at least 15.0% milk solids and at least 8.0% milk fat!
In other words, the milk flavor is incredibly rich!

When the tartness of the lemon meets the rich milk, it creates a flavor like cheesecake or thick yogurt!
The frozen strawberries and mint add a nice accent, making it an ice bar that feels wonderfully indulgent♪
