Near Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station, the former building of Ashiyaken, a Kobe beef and Tajima beef specialty shop, which is currently being rebuilt in the Ashiya Yamate Sun Mall shopping street, has been completely demolished and the site is now vacant.

The building is completely gone, and you can now see Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station on the other side.

It seems the shop had been temporarily closed for rebuilding since December 15 of last year, due to reasons such as the aging of the building and COVID-19 safety measures.
The renovated shop is scheduled to open around spring 2022, and they are also considering adding an eat-in space. Something to look forward to!

If you go this way (west), you’ll find the Japanese sweets shop “Miraku” across the street, and farther ahead are the Chinese restaurant “Sanjuban,” the Turkish restaurant “Sakurebu”, “Okashitsukasa Kineya Toyomitsu,” and others.
If you go the other way (east), you’ll find “Shigenobu Clinic,” the croffle specialty shop “WAFLA”, and “Sakaba Gentleman Yamato,” which opened on 7/1.
Across the street, there are places such as “Kissa Lemonju.”
Finally
Construction of the new shop will be starting from here, so this might be the only time you can see this much of the back side of Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station from the shopping street.
