Just outside the ticket gates at JR Ashiya Station, “HIROTA’s Chou Ice” has opened for a limited time next to the temporary “Awajiya” bento shop, and will be there until Thursday, July 15.

Until July 1, the muffin specialty shop “PonPonMuffin” had been operating here.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 1-30 Funadocho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

They have classic chou ice flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, as well as mango and sakura flavors.
In addition to chou ice, they also had “ice dorayaki.”

When you buy them, they’ll add dry ice based on how long it will take you to get home.

By the way, I bought vanilla, rum raisin, and cookies & cream!
They’re cool and refreshing, perfect for summer! They’re on the smaller side, so it’s nice that they won’t chill your stomach too much either.
Finally
HIROTA is known for its cream puffs, but chou ice is especially nice in summer. Since it’s right by the ticket gates, it looks easy to pick some up as a souvenir too.
This limited-time pop-up spot has previously featured focaccia pizza and muffins, and this time it’s chou ice. I’m looking forward to seeing what opens here next!
