Until now, maa has mainly operated stalls at markets and other events. In addition to selling organic foods such as dried fruit and nuts by weight, the store also appears to carry eco-friendly goods such as loofah sponges and bamboo toothbrushes.
To help minimize waste, it’s recommended that you bring your own containers, such as jars or reusable food containers!

↑ The store’s name was already on the sign. “maa” is scheduled to open in Room 3 on the first floor.
Next door in Room 2, “SICILAMO LA CASA,” a specialty shop selling traditional Sicilian sweets, is also scheduled to open on Saturday, October 31.

The address is Room 3, 12-24 Miyazukacho, Ashiya, Hyogo.
What’s Around “maa”

↑ The store is on the first floor of a stone building about a seven-minute walk south of JR Ashiya Station. “Tea Saloon MUSICA” and other businesses are also located in the same building.

↑ Head this way (north), and you’ll find “カットスペースとりい,” “芦屋市シルバー人材センター,” “芦屋宮塚郵便局,” and “芦屋やきとり げん家,” before reaching National Route 2.

↑ Head in the opposite direction (south), and you’ll find “はぐるまデンタルクリニック,” “メツゲライクスダ 芦屋店,” and Miyazuka Park, before reaching the Naruo–Mikage Line.

↑ Across the street is the “ステイツ芦屋プライマリーコート” apartment building.
Final Thoughts
With organic snacks sold by weight and a selection of eco-friendly goods, this store could be a great place to inspire a more environmentally conscious lifestyle. A Sicilian sweets shop will also open next door in Room 2 the following day, so it might be fun to stop by both stores at once.
