It looks like the money-saving gourmet booklet “Choinomi Techo Hanshin Special Edition 2026,” which can be used at izakayas and other establishments in Ashiya, Nishinomiya, and Amagasaki, has been available for free since October 1. In Ashiya, you can pick up a copy at Ashiya City Hall or the Ashiya City Society of Commerce and Industry.
At participating establishments, a set featuring an alcoholic drink and a recommended dish that would normally cost at least 1,300 yen is available for just 1,100 yen, including tax. Better yet, there are no appetizer or cover charges.
The booklet features a total of 60 establishments, including 11 in Ashiya (27 in Amagasaki and 22 in Nishinomiya). It can be used from October 1, 2026, through February 28, 2027. It also includes information about Field Pavilion programs such as “SAKE Tourism,” which explores the sake culture of the Nada Gogo region, as well as special offers for visitors who bring the booklet.

In Closing
Since it’s free and can be used all winter long, this is definitely one booklet worth picking up. It apparently includes not only izakayas, but also cafés that serve alcohol and teppanyaki restaurants.
