A 5-story building with retail shops may be going up in Miyazuka-cho along National Route 2

It looks like a building with retail shops is going to be built along National Route 2 in Miyazuka-cho, near JR Ashiya Station.

↑A construction notice sign had been posted. The listed use is “Store (retail) / office”, and it will be a 5-story building above ground. The building owner is listed as “Main Stage Co., Ltd.”

The planned construction period is from November 10 to July 10 next year, so work is expected to begin a little later, around this autumn.

↑Here’s the planned construction site. It looks like there used to be a private house here.

Here’s the map↓

The address is 1-3 Miyazuka-cho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

Information Around the Planned Building Site

↑It’s on the south side of National Route 2, near the Hanshin Bus “JR Ashiya Ekimae” bus stop. To the left is “Lawson Store 100 Ashiya Miyazuka-cho,” and to the right is “Sakura Seikotsuin.”

↑If you head this way (east), you’ll find places like “Sakura Seikotsuin,” “Ashiya Ramen An Main Store,” “Koganeya Shokudo,” “Jizo Park,” “Royal Host Ashiya,” and “RYU・RYU Ashiya.” This is toward Uchide and Shukugawa.

↑If you go the opposite way (west), there’s “Nakayama Dental Clinic,” the bicycle shop “Rinrin Ashiya,” “Baskin-Robbins Ashiya Roadside,” and more. This is toward Ashiyagawa.

↑Across the street are places like “Ecolo Park Ashiya Kamimiyagawa-cho No. 1 Parking” and the “Ashiya Substation.”

Finally

It looks like a new building by “Main Stage Co., Ltd.,” which owns many properties around Ashiya City, is going up here. Even just along Route 2, it feels like there are quite a few Main Stage apartments and buildings. Hopefully some useful shops will move in.
