A new cafe, “cafe’ wish.. ASHIYA”, has opened along Hanamizuki-dori in Kurekawa-cho.

↑There was a greeting posted out front announcing the opening. For the time being, it looks like the cafe will be closed on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
↑The exterior of “cafe’ wish.. ASHIYA.” This used to be the location of “PaintWall Ashiya Showroom,” an exterior wall painting shop. (It closed last November and was consolidated into the Nishinomiya showroom.)
↑It looks like there is bicycle parking on the south side of the shop.
↑There appears to be a smoking area inside for heated tobacco products.

↑It’s on the first floor of the building on the east side of Hanamizuki-dori, with “Home-Visit Nursing Station Yumeka Ashiya” on the second floor. To the left used to be “Coin Laundry Kurekawa,” but it has been demolished and is now a vacant lot. To the right is “Goda Orthodontic Clinic.”
↑If you go this way, south, you’ll find places like “Muramatsu Dental Clinic,” “Life Ashiya Kurekawa-cho Store,” and “Co-op Kobe Co-op Hama-Ashiya,” leading out to Rinko Line.
↑If you go the other way, north, you’ll find places like “Aoyama Kasho Ashiya Main Store,” leading out to National Route 43.
↑Across the street are places like “Ashiya Karubi Land Ashiya Kurekawa Store” and “Chaya Kurekawa Nursery School.”

↑They offer a wide selection of teas, coffee made with organically grown beans, juices, as well as food items such as chiffon cake, sandwiches, and spice curry. It looks like they also serve alcohol after 17:00.

Final Thoughts
There’s no website or Instagram, so we don’t know exactly what date it opened, but it does seem to be open now. Unfortunately, it was closed when we passed by, but we’d like to stop in sometime soon. They say they’re aiming to be a “community space for families raising children” and “a place where local residents can casually gather”!
