Near Hanshin Ashiya Station, the convenience store “Lawson Store 100 Ashiya Omasu-cho” on Ashiya Hondori is apparently closing at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30.

Following the closure of the “Ashiya Miyazuka-cho” location last month, this will be the second Lawson Store 100 in the city to close this year. With the closure of the Omasu-cho store, all Lawson Store 100 locations in Ashiya City will be closed.

Inside the store, a closing sale is underway, but nearly half of the shelves were already empty, giving the place a rather bare feel.

↑ It’s on the first floor of a building along Ashiya Hondori, just north of the Hanshin Main Line tracks. The entrance to “Karaoke & Snack Riiza” is next door on the left as you face the building.
↑ If you head this way (north), you’ll find “Tekoya Hanshin Ashiya Ekimae,” “CHOP STOCK,” “Aqua Cipresso,” “Edo-yaki Unagi Sanka,” and others. This leads toward National Route 2.
↑ If you go the other way (south), you’ll immediately reach the elevated tracks of the Hanshin Main Line. Beyond that are “Sushi Takeshita,” “Coffee Hana,” “Ashiya City Seido Kodomoen,” “Ashiya City Seido Elementary School,” and more, leading out to National Route 43.
↑ Across the street are “Mabuchi Classroom,” “Moriwaki Dental Clinic,” “7-Eleven Ashiya Kōmyō-cho,” and others.

It looks like all Lawson Store 100 locations in Ashiya City are finally closing. The “Lawson Store 100 Nishinomiya Uedanakacho” near Mukogawa Danchi-mae in Nishinomiya City and the “Lawson Store 100 Nada-ku Sendo-dori” in Nada Ward, Kobe City, still appear to be open, but the number of nearby locations has really been shrinking…
