It looks like a limited-time “Anko and Coffee Café” will be opening on Friday, December 26 at the Turkish restaurant “Saklı Ev” in the Ashiya Yamate Sun Mall shopping street near Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station!

The owner will be returning home to Turkey from December 22 until the end of January, so the café will reportedly operate for a limited time through the end of February next year, including that period.
In addition to anko-based treats such as pancakes served with sweet red bean paste, French toast, the Japanese confection “ukishima”, and zenzai, the café will apparently serve Turkish specialties such as balık ekmek (mackerel sandwiches), Turkish ice cream, baklava, and çay!

Final Thoughts
A café where you can enjoy anko and Turkish cuisine at the same time sounds pretty unusual! It’s only open for a limited time, so you’ll want to visit while you can. You can also enjoy treats that were popular at the Expo, such as baklava and Turkish ice cream, making this a great option for anyone missing the Expo.
