It looks like Ashiya University’s solar car “Sky Ace TIGA” will be on display, with a ride experience for children, at the shopping mall “Mikage Classe” in neighboring Higashinada Ward, Kobe, in front of Hanshin Mikage Station, on Sunday, July 20〜

At Ashiya University in Rokurokuso-cho, the “Ashiya University Solar Car Project,” a project based on the themes of “raising public awareness of environmental issues” and “taking on the challenge of near-future automotive technology,” has apparently been ongoing for more than 20 years.
Not only will visitors be able to see a real solar car used in races up close, but children in elementary school or younger can even try riding in it, making this a pretty rare opportunity〜!

This solar car display and ride experience will apparently be held as part of an event called “Let’s Learn at Mikage Classe! Summer Independent Research Challenge.”
On the day of the event, there will also be other activities perfect for summer research projects, including a programming class by Konan University, a litmus paper-making workshop by Kobe Municipal High School of Science and Technology, and a keychain-making workshop using marine plastic by Kobe International University〜
