We bought some cakes from “Maison du Ruban Pâtisserie Akaineko”, which opened inside “Liv,” the station building at JR Sumiyoshi Station in Kobe that reopened after renovations on April 26!

“Souris” and “Blossom” from “Maison du Ruban Pâtisserie Akaineko”
“Souris” 380 yen (tax included)
The adorable mouse-shaped cream puff “Souris” is also hugely popular at the Ashiya main store! Even at this new shop, purchases were limited to “up to 2 per person”!
↑Inside, it’s packed with custard cream! It goes perfectly with the firm choux pastry shell.
“Blossom” 650 yen (tax included)
This one is apparently a cake made like a “strawberry tiramisu”, combining berries and mascarpone!
↑The outside is crisp strawberry chocolate, while the inside has lots of layers of berry sauce, mascarpone mousse, and sponge cake. It’s a seriously luxurious strawberry tiramisu!
↑The balance of tartness and sweetness is irresistible! It was refreshing but still very satisfying, and it made us feel so happy!
Inside “Maison du Ruban Pâtisserie Akaineko”
↑Unlike the Ashiya main store, this location is a takeout-only Western-style pastry shop. The display case is filled with fresh cakes!
↑This display case had tarts, canelés, and croissants too!
↑In addition to baked sweets for enjoying at home, they also have stylish gift sets.
↑They also had a collaboration coffee with “ASHIYA EVIAN COFFEE SHOP” in Chayanocho! It’s apparently a blend made to pair with Akaineko’s cakes!
