↑It appears that the croffle specialty shop “WAFLA Ashiya,” which had been temporarily closed since last November, has permanently closed, and the new shop will open in its former location.

“MAIS DORE” is reportedly a gourmet popcorn shop created by Marc Glaise, a former executive pastry chef at Pierre Hermé Paris. It currently has a shop near Hankyu Rokko Station in Kobe, so the Ashiya location looks set to become its second shop!

What’s Around MAIS DORE Ashiya

↑Exit the ticket gates at Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station and turn left (north). The shop is right near the entrance to the shopping street.

↑Head this way (west) and you’ll find Sekisuian, Sakaba Gentleman Yamato, The Clapham Inn, and more.

↑Head in the opposite direction (east), and the ticket gates at Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station are just ahead.

↑Across the street is the plaza in front of Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station.

Final Thoughts

It’s sad that WAFLA ended up closing for good, but we’re also curious about this stylish-looking new gourmet popcorn shop! It seems like it’ll be a great place to pick up a gift, too♪
