On the 2nd floor of the “Health and Welfare Center” in Kuregawa-cho, “Manga Station,” a free all-you-can-read manga corner exclusively for junior high and high school students who live or study in Ashiya City, opened on February 1!

For junior high and high school students in Ashiya, 1,300 manga volumes are available to read for free!? We went to check it out in person!
↑ Enter the “Ashiya City Health and Welfare Center,” take the elevator, and head to the reception desk for the “Child and Family / Health Center” on the 2nd floor!
↑ Once you complete the initial registration, you can read the manga here for free! Amazing!!
↑ These manga were apparently donated by KAIKATSU FRONTIER Inc., the company that operates the café complex “Kaikatsu CLUB”. As for the manga lineup…

↑ From a quick look, it seems to have a well-balanced selection of both boys’ and girls’ manga, with plenty of famous titles ranging from past classics to the latest buzzworthy works. As expected from Kaikatsu CLUB…!
↑ By the way, the figures and plush toys displayed on top of the shelves were apparently donated by manga-loving staff members at Ashiya City Hall! How nice!
↑ Also, in addition to “Consultation Room 2-2,” where the manga shelves are located, you can apparently take manga books into the “Playroom” and read them there during certain hours.
↑ Registration is required before using “Manga Station,” but once registered, you can use not only “Manga Station” but also this “Study Room” for free!
↑ And on top of that! With the same registration, you can apparently use the “Music Studio,” which is fully soundproofed and even equipped with a drum set and keyboard, for free! If you’re a junior high or high school student in Ashiya, registering might be too good to pass up!
