It looks like “MAINDISH DELICATESSEN Ashiya Ekimae” is opening on the first floor of La Mall Ashiya, along Ekimae-dori near JR Ashiya Station!

Update 2/3: The shop is relocating from its current location in Midorigaoka-cho.

↑A notice about construction work for the upcoming opening had been posted.

↑A post from the official MAINDISH DELICATESSEN Instagram account. They are reportedly planning to hold a reception party around the end of January next year and open for business around February.

Around MAINDISH DELICATESSEN Ashiya Ekimae

↑This street-level shop is on the first floor of La Mall Ashiya, along Ekimae-dori. To the left is the bakery and café Rios La Mall (temporarily closed), and to the right is Sanko Art Supplies.

↑Head this way (west), and you’ll pass Sumiyaki & Wine Iwai and Organic Plaza La Mall Ashiya. Continue farther, and you’ll arrive in front of JR Ashiya Station, where Mont et Mer and Laporte are located.

↑Head in the opposite direction (east), and you’ll come to Kamimiyagawa Bridge, which crosses the Miyagawa River. Continue straight beyond it, and you’ll find places such as the DESTINATION pâtisserie.

↑Across the street are Nana Whitening Salon Ashiya and the south entrance to Ohara Park.

Finally

We were surprised to find that Honoka Marché had apparently closed without us noticing! MAINDISH DELICATESSEN Ashiya Ekimae will be much closer to the station than the Midorigaoka-cho location, so it should be welcome news for anyone who was interested but had found it difficult to visit.
