The Turkish restaurant “Sakliev”, located in the Ashiya Yamate Sun Mall shopping street near Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station, reopened in the same location on December 10!

↑ We previously reported that the restaurant was preparing to relocate, but it appears to have renovated and reopened in its original location instead.

What’s Around Sakliev

↑ Head this way (east), and you’ll pass the Chinese restaurant Sanjuban and Café Bradippo before reaching Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station.

↑ Head the other way (west), and you’ll find the Japanese confectionery shop Okashitsukasa Kineya Toyomitsu and the rental kitchen STAGE, among other businesses.

↑ Anrakuji Temple is across the street.
Sakliev’s Menu

↑ Here’s the lunch menu. In addition to shish kebabs and curry, it features all sorts of dishes that are hard to find outside a specialty restaurant, including köfte, Turkish-style meatballs, and pide, a Turkish-style pizza!

↑ There’s also a sign saying “Crepes Spinning.” Are they really spinning…!?

In Closing
Closed? Moving somewhere new? And then renovated and reopened! It seems there were quite a few twists and turns, but we’re glad to see Sakliev back in business! By the way, Ashiyagawa Sign Language Cafe & BAR
