Today 10/1 Is Apparently Ashiya Financier World No. 1 Day Henri Charpentier Launches Special Menus and Sets

Today, October 1, is “Ashiya Financier World No. 1 Day,” and it looks like “Henri Charpentier Ashiya Main Store” has all kinds of things planned〜

Apparently, in 2021, Henri Charpentier’s financiers achieved the Guinness World Record™ for most units sold for the seventh consecutive year, and October 1, the date the record was renewed, was officially recognized as “Ashiya Financier World No. 1 Day”〜

This year, 2024, also marks Henri Charpentier’s 55th anniversary, so it seems various financier-related events and products will be offered〜

The “Ashiya Financier World No. 1 Day” Commemorative Set, going on sale today, October 1, is apparently a limited-quantity set featuring proud financier creations from pastry shops in Ashiya that are part of the “Cake Town Ashiya” association!

Every year, financiers from some truly impressive pastry shops come together for this set, so we’re curious to see what this year’s lineup will be〜

On top of that, as a 55th anniversary product, the “Hazelnut Financier” will be released in limited quantities!

It’s said to be a rich, fragrant financier made with carefully selected Sicilian hazelnuts and almonds. We’re intrigued〜

And there’s more! At the cafe inside the Ashiya Main Store, a limited-time menu item called “Dessert Financier” is also making an appearance〜!

Apparently, the chef shaves almonds over it right in front of you and, if you like, pours warm maple syrup on top〜! That feels so special!
