The parking lots just south of JR Ashiya Station, “Times Narihira-cho No. 5” and “Nihondo Garage”, will reportedly end operations and close as of Monday, September 30〜
↑Notice of the closure of “Nihondo Garage.” It appears to be a monthly parking lot owned by Kamoya Co., Ltd., the same company that owns the “Seven-Eleven” next door on the north side.
↑On the same premises, there is also the hourly parking lot “Times Narihira-cho No. 5.” A notice was posted saying this one will also end operations on the same day.

↑If you go this way (north), you’ll find “Seven-Eleven JR Ashiya Station Front Store” next door, and it leads to the south exit of JR Ashiya Station.
↑If you go the other way (south), you’ll find places such as the delicacy shop “Kanetoku Ashiya Kobo Main Store,” and it leads to National Route 2.
↑Across the street is the real estate agency “KURAS Ashiya Store.”
In closing
Recently, the area around the south exit of JR Ashiya Station has seen more and more shops relocating and buildings being demolished due to the redevelopment project. We’ll keep a close eye on how the city of Ashiya changes and continue reporting on it here at Ashitsuu!
