Three new unique vending machines have been installed on the Kobe-bound platform at Hanshin Ashiya Station!

Fresh-Squeezed Orange Juice Vending Machine “IJOOZ”
↑ On the far right as you face them is “IJOOZ,” a fresh-squeezed orange juice vending machine from Singapore.
It looks like you’ll be able to buy orange juice squeezed on the spot using oranges from the U.S. and Australia for 350 yen per cup, but it was still being prepared.
↑ Apparently it comes out in 45 seconds. QR code payments also seem to be accepted. I can’t wait to try it!
Snack Vending Machine “Petit Mall”
↑ In the middle is a room-temperature snack vending machine called “Petit Mall”. It’s the type where you enter the item number to buy.
↑ The upper section had chocolate snacks and protein bars.
↑ The lower section had gummies and snack-type treats, along with more chocolate.
Fujiya Frozen Sweets Vending Machine “FUJIYA CAKE’s STAND” (Peko-chan’s Cake Shop)
↑ On the far left as you face them is Fujiya’s frozen sweets vending machine, “FUJIYA CAKE’s STAND” (Peko-chan’s Cake Shop).
↑ The upper section had sets of two frozen cakes and three-piece macaron sets.
↑ The lower section had cakes in clear bottles! It seems they can all be eaten semi-thawed after about 5 minutes at room temperature.
↑ Prices are shown on the number panel on the right.
↑ I tried buying the three-piece “Macaron” set (vanilla, Amaou strawberry, and chocolate mint) for 600 yen! It came out in a plastic bottle.
↑ The best-before date is June 10 next year, but it says to eat them soon after thawing. Don’t refreeze them after thawing!
↑ Since each one is individually wrapped, it’s nice and easy to share them on the spot!
↑ This is the moment I took one out on the platform and then panicked because I couldn’t get it back in properly.
↑ They look like this out of the packaging. The colors were pretty bright and vivid!
↑ Since it said they can be eaten “semi-thawed after about 5 minutes at room temperature,” I brought them home and tried one right away… and it had a very crunchy texture! It felt more like a cookie than a macaron.
↑ I put the rest in the fridge and tried them fully thawed after dinner… this time, I got to enjoy that classic macaron texture, crisp on the outside and chewy inside! Getting two different textures might make it feel like a good deal.
Final Thoughts
It’s too bad the “fresh-squeezed orange juice” machine I was most curious about was still being prepared! I’d like to try it once it starts operating.
↑ By the way, on the opposite Osaka-bound platform, there’s a “17 Ice” vending machine. That’s another one that’s nice to have around.
