Organized by the Higashiyama-cho Neighborhood Association, this local festival will offer a view of the Ashiya Summer Carnival fireworks from the park’s hilltop, as well as free ice pop vouchers (Garigari-kun), food stalls serving fried chicken and rice balls, a game corner, Japanese taiko drumming, and Bon Odori dancing. Visitors can also enjoy the “Hanatouro” illuminated pathway, created with the help of high school students from “Ashiya-bu” (“Ashiya Club”)!
The “Hanatouro” lights will remain on daily from 18:00 to 22:00 until after the Obon holiday, so there will be plenty of time to enjoy them.

↑ The entire park resembles a small mountain, with trail-style signs reading “Higashiyama 3rd Station” and “Higashiyama 7th Station” placed throughout. It looks like a great spot to watch the fireworks over the sea!
