“Comi-Suku” is short for “community school.” It refers to a community with the shared goal of creating a more fulfilling and relaxed town through cultural activities, sports, welfare activities, local activities, and more that anyone can take part in. Each elementary school in the city has one.
This year’s “Miyagawa Comi-Suku Summer Festival” will feature festival-style game booths such as lottery draws, super ball scooping, and ring toss, food and drink booths with jelly, ice cream, croquettes, onigiri, and more, plus a bazaar corner.
