It looks like the Ikari JR Ashiya supermarket, located right by the south exit of JR Ashiya Station, will temporarily end store operations as of Sunday, March 31.
(This information was provided by Ann. Thank you very much!!)
Quoted from the Ikari Supermarket official website
It seems this is due to the redevelopment project on the south side of JR Ashiya Station, and it is apparently only a temporary closure of operations, not a permanent store closure. It sounds like they plan to reopen somewhere near the station at some point.

↑ Exterior of “Ikari JR Ashiya”

↑ A notice about the end of operations was also posted at the store.
Here is the map↓
The address is 1-20 Narihira-cho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Area Around “Ikari JR Ashiya”

↑ On the left is the former site of “Seven-Eleven” before it relocated (it moved 70 meters west last November), and on the right is “bean to bar chocolate & cafe ICHIJI.”

↑ If you head this way (west), you’ll find places like “Chidoriya Soke Ashiya,” the relocated “Seven-Eleven JR Ashiya Ekimae,” “Pâtisserie La Gare by Louis Robuchon,” and “French Kushiage & Charcoal Grill BEIGNET Ashiya.”

↑ If you head the opposite way (east), there are entrances to Mont et Mer’s parking lot and bicycle parking area, and at the far end across the crosswalk is “Ashiya Bebika”.

↑ Across the street is the south exit of JR Ashiya Station.

Finally

↑ Aside from “JR Ashiya,” there is another Ikari supermarket in Ashiya City, “Ashiya”, and that one appears to be operating as usual. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but it’s very spacious and easy to shop in!
Ann, thank you very much for the information!!
