It looks like “The 12th Ashiya Plum Festival” will be held at Ashiya Central Park in Wakaba-cho, along Rinko Line, on Sunday, March 3 from 10:00 to 16:00. (※Will be held in light rain)

In addition to free servings of ume-kombu tea and sweets for 1,000 people, sales of umeboshi, ume-kombu tea, cookies, and more, plus a flea market, there will also be two cajon performances at 11:00 and 14:00. (“Cajon” is a percussion instrument that looks like a box with a hole in the side. If you’ve never seen one before, this is your chance to see the real thing!)
