Ashi2 reader Megunii shared a post saying they spotted and photographed a super cute mystery creature on the street in Kasugacho, near Hanshin Uchide Station!

↑ Wow, it’s so cute!! Those round eyes, long tail, tiny ears, and front paws that look a bit big for its body. It almost looks like a baby, doesn’t it? Could it be a weasel?
According to Megunii, “It still seemed like a youngster and didn’t seem wary at all. It was watching us.” That makes you a little worried, doesn’t it?
Megunii took the photo at around 6:45 p.m. on July 22. That’s about when the sun was starting to go down and it was getting a little cooler.

Address-wise, it’s around 3-chome Kasugacho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, on the sidewalk along the Naruo-Mikage Line.
↑ Right nearby is “Kanatsuyama Kofun”, an ancient burial mound protected by a wire fence, so maybe it normally lives somewhere inside there.
By the way, if it is a weasel, capturing it without permission is prohibited under the Wildlife Protection and Management Act, so please don’t try to catch it if you see one! It’s best not to touch it and just quietly watch from a distance.
