“Choucho no Cafe & Gallery Tefu Tefu” has been in its pre-opening phase since July 12 in a residential area of Ise-cho, and it looks like the grand opening is planned for Thursday, July 20!
(Thanks to k’s and “It looks like a butterfly cafe is opening in Ise-cho, Ashiya!” for the tip!)

Inside “Choucho no Cafe & Gallery Tefu Tefu”

↑ When you enter the cafe, there’s a greenhouse with butterflies at the far end! It’s going to be a cafe where you can enjoy butterflies raised inside the greenhouse all year round, regardless of the season.

↑ If you’d like, you can also enjoy your drink inside the greenhouse. It has such a resort feel.

↑ Right now, there are apparently about 50 butterflies of 5 different species in the greenhouse (and around 10 species when there are a lot). Did you know butterflies are counted with “頭” in Japanese!? (I didn’t know either until they told me…!)

↑ Of course, you can also relax in the indoor seats outside the greenhouse, at the counter, in the loft seating area, or on the terrace. The interior was designed by the owner, and it’s incredibly stylish!

Finally
You often hear about cat cafes or bird cafes, but a butterfly cafe is pretty rare! If you love butterflies, this might be the kind of place you’d want to visit even from far away!
