It looks like the menswear shop “洋服の青山 芦屋店” in Maedacho along National Route 2 will be closing permanently on Sunday, July 23.

↑A notice had been posted on the store information page. Nearby locations appear to include the “神戸東灘店” and “西宮今津店.”

↑There were also “Permanent Closing SALE” banners in front of the store.

The address is 10-1 Maedacho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Area Around “洋服の青山 芦屋店”

↑It’s located along National Route 2, on the northwest corner of the “Maedacho” intersection. The store has a piloti-style layout, with parking on the first floor.

↑If you head this way east, you’ll find “やまとラーメン香雲堂 芦屋店” on the diagonal corner, followed by places like “とんかつ ひぐち,” “戎家,” and “芦屋かるびらんど 芦屋・川西店,” before reaching the area around Narihira Bridge over the Ashiyagawa River.

↑If you go the other way west, you’ll find “芦屋清水郵便局” and the ramen shop “げんこつ 芦屋店,” and if you continue farther, you’ll enter Kobe City.

↑Across the street are places like “hair salon le・Miracle.”
Finally
I feel like this shop had been operating here for quite a long time, but perhaps suit shops had a tough time with the rise of remote work during the pandemic. It’s a fairly large store, so I’m also curious to see what will happen to the space after it closes.
