According to the report, “green iguanas are not venomous and are unlikely to harm people, but their claws are sharp and could cause injury,” so if you spot it, please do not approach it and contact the Ashiya Police Station (0797-23-0110).

↑ A view of Okuike photographed the year before last
Okuike Minamicho in Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture is around here on the map↓
↑ It’s home to places like “Okuike Asobi no Hiroba” and the famous soba restaurant “Ashiyagawa Muragen,” and it’s close to Nishinomiya City too.

↑ About 150 cm long means… it’s almost exactly the same size as me (Fuko, 151 cm tall)! That’s big!!
Even though it’s said to be unlikely to harm people, catching such a large iguana would probably be very difficult. If you see it, please contact the Ashiya Police Station right away!
Yoshi-san, thank you very much for the information!!
