The design for the “Ashiya City designated garbage bags,” scheduled to start being used from next April, has been decided!
Here it is ↓
Quoted from the Ashiya City official website
This design, showing a view looking north along the Ashiyagawa River, was apparently created by Naoyuki Kamiya, an Ashiya resident!
First, the building on the left looks like…

↑ This “Ashiya Buddhist Hall”!
And on the right is…

↑ That’s definitely “Luna Hall”!

Which means… my guess is that this is the view looking north from Narihira Bridge, where National Route 2 crosses the Ashiyagawa River!
When I actually checked it out…

It’s exactly the same! Nailed it!

↑ I also made a comparison image. Some parts are stylized, like the scale, but I’m pretty sure this is the view!
It would’ve been lucky if a bird had happened to fly by at just the right moment, but things don’t work out that perfectly, do they?
Here’s the map for the photo location, Narihira Bridge ↓
The address is 5-35 Kōkōchō, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
It’s a familiar view for Ashiya residents, so maybe a lot of you saw the design and immediately thought, “Isn’t that this spot!?” Once I get one of the designated garbage bags in April, I’d like to compare it with the real view again!
