It looks like a new retail shop will be built near the south exit of JR Ashiya Station, next to the newly built commercial parking lot.

↑If you head this way (east), the south exit of JR Ashiya Station is just ahead.
↑If you go the other way (west), you’ll find places like the restaurant “Ashiya Glass,” then pass along the north side of Ashiya Civic Center (Luna Hall) and reach Narihira Sakura-dori along the Ashiya River.
↑Across the street, there are places like the deli “Aranishi,” the okonomiyaki restaurant “Guzu,” and the dance school “Ballroom Dance Harukaze.”

What kind of retail shop do you think it will be? Maybe a convenience store? A high-end supermarket… might be a bit much, since there are already quite a few around. Redevelopment around the south exit has been moving forward, so there’s also a chance that a nearby shop could be relocating here!
