A binchotan charcoal spare rib specialty shop, “Lucky hill,” opened on August 23 in an alley east of Chaya Sakura-dori in Chayanomachi!
(Thanks to Mizuking for the tip!)

↑ It’s opened on the first floor of a building with an eye-catching mint green exterior.

↑ All seats are covered terrace seats, and dogs are welcome too! You can enjoy a BBQ-like atmosphere on the grass.

Area around “Lucky hill”

↑ If you go this way (east), you’ll find the Ashiya Municipal Chaya Meeting Hall diagonally across the street.

↑ If you go the other way (west), you’ll reach Chaya Sakura-dori. It leads to the intersection where Hazama ENT Clinic is on the southwest corner.
“Lucky hill” Menu

↑ In addition to à la carte “binchotan charcoal spare ribs,” they also have a “plate set” that comes with rice, grilled corn, and more. Takeout is available too!

↑ They’re also selling shaved ice as a seasonal menu item. 150 yen (before tax) is a great deal!

Final Thoughts
It’s surprising to see a place where you can enjoy nicely browned, juicy spare ribs grilled over binchotan charcoal in a BBQ-like setting opening right in a nearby residential neighborhood! It looks easy to stop by during a walk, and it seems like it could become a shop loved by locals.
We’re planning to introduce a report on what it’s actually like to eat there in an “Ashitsu Gourmet” article!
Mizuking, thank you for the tip!!
