Food items had recently been added to the menu at Taiwanese sweets shop “台湾甜商店” inside Mont et Mer, the shopping mall directly connected to JR Ashiya Station, so I went to try them!
The “Beef Noodle Set” at “台湾甜商店 Ashiya Mont et Mer”
“Beef Noodle Set” 1,280 yen (tax included)
“Beef noodles (niú ròu miàn)” are apparently “Taiwanese soul food topped with tender simmered beef” (from the official “台湾甜商店” website).
The noodles are a little flat, kind of like linguine pasta.
The soup has a slight tanginess, making it light and easy to enjoy.
The well-simmered beef is satisfying too!
The set comes with your choice of dessert! This time I went with the “almond douhua.”
The sweet syrup coats it nicely, and it goes down so smoothly! It’s also nice that it comes with tapioca pearls.
It also comes with weekly Taiwanese tea with free refills! (It was served in a glass, but it was hot tea!)
